SMVEC commemorated Kargil Vijay Diwas with profound reverence on July 26, 2024 as a part of Silver Jubilee Celebrations. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Subedar Major K. Paramasivam of the Indian Army, who served as the chief guest. The occasion was marked by solemn tributes and reflections on the valor and sacrifice of the Kargil War heroes, underscoring the enduring spirit of courage and patriotism. Students gained detailed insights about this historical event. Stories of bravery will inspire students to tackle challenges in their own lives and will serve as a motivational force for their progress.
During his address, he elucidated his professional experiences and delved into the intricacies of the Kargil War and Operation Vijay. He apprised the students of the myriad career opportunities available within the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
Moreover, he underscored the paramount importance of resolute academic dedication as a cornerstone for achieving success in life. He exhorted the students to remain undaunted by failures, emphasizing the necessity of persistent endeavors to attain their goals. He recounted his own odyssey of enlisting in the Army as a Craftsman, propelled by a disciplined educational background, ultimately ascending to the prestigious rank of Subedar Major. He inspired the students by asserting that irrespective of one’s familial economic circumstances, unwavering focus on education can pave the way to success.
